Because you care oh so much.
I was bored in the car on the way up to Western Friday night. I was just staring out the window thinking about the past 6 months, which is what I always do when I have nothing else to think about. I had my laptop in my lap with no internet so I pulled up Microsoft and started writing. I started writing my life story. Well, my life since senior year started. It got pretty long. I'm no where near done. On a timeline it's still in August. My sister read it and loved it. Now she isn't a good judge because she doesn't really read a lot. But she laughed a little and understood it so it can't be too bad. Here's a little bit of it. Maybe as I keep writing I'll post a little here and there.
* When I got home the next week field hockey season had started. The team practiced every morning at 7 AM. We had scrimmages against some of the hardest teams in the state. The coach tried to convince us they were to help us see what we needed to work on as a team. I swear they were meant to completely wear us out. On the way to one scrimmage, my phone starts vibrating in my lap. I look at the caller ID and I see a number I don’t recognize. So I answer it.
“Hello?”
“Hey!”
“Hey! … Who is this?”
“Ha, it’s Justin.”
WHAT?!?
“Oh wow! Hey! What’s up?” I say, regretting the huge grin I had on my face at that moment.
“Nothing really. I was just bored so I called to see what you were up to and see if you wanted to hang out.”
Um, who gave this kid my number? That is what I really would like to know.
“Well I’m on my way to a field hockey scrimmage in Chapel Hill but it is pouring down rain. It might get cancelled and I can come home early. If I get back early enough, maybe we can chill.”
Did I really just say that?
“Okay cool, just call me.”
We hang up and I’m in shock. I told myself not to do this. And yea, it’s only “hanging out,” but I really don’t trust myself.
Sitting in the car the rest of the night was torture. I kept going back and forth in my mind. I was going to hang out with him. Wait, no. I shouldn’t. Why not? It’s harmless. No Kali, it’s dangerous. Don’t do it. But it’s only one night.
See? Torture.
The scrimmage was cancelled after we got to the field because of thunder and lightening. So the team decided to go out for dinner. It was fun, but all I could think
about was Justin. I knew I shouldn’t, but I wanted to so bad.*
The names are changed btw. If you know what went on you know who Justin is. (cough*DOUCHE BAG*cough)
Ha, so it kinda started in the middle of the story. But if you really wanna read it when it's all done tell me. I'll let you.
Last night was amazing by the way. I ate too much and had too many sodas but I really don't care. I love you guys. (:
Western is amazing too. I can't wait. :D
